Charlie Kaufman unloads 109-year-old Craftsman in Pasadena

Charlie Kaufman’s Pasadena home sale went according to script. Just a month after listing his 109-year-old Craftsman, the Oscar-winning screenwriter sold it for $2.535 million – or $60,000 less than his asking price.

Box gardens approach the South Arroyo home, which taps into the Craftsman style with a low-pitched gabled roof and wraparound front porch. The trend continues inside, where custom built-ins and wood-trimmed windows and doors adorn 3,576 square feet of interiors.

On the main level, there’s a living room with a tile fireplace and a dining room with a built-in buffet. The updated kitchen adds splashes of multicolored tile under skylights.
