Porter Ranch (PRC.News) – Blaring sirens and roaring fire engines wake residents responding to reports of smoke and fire in a quiet gated-community of Porter Ranch.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at at the Cortile Tuscany community early Sunday morning, at 8:30 a.m.
Upon the arrival of LAFD at the residence located at the 20300 Block of Pienza Lane, neighbors reported seeing smoke and smelling smoke coming from inside of the home. Billows of smoke from the fire was escaping out of the raised two-car garage door and open windows on the second level.
LAFD fire engines quickly arrived on scene and deployed their fire fighting equipment, water hoses and oxygen masks.
Additional LAFD resources continued to respond to the fire incident, in a welcomed and overwhelming response, according to one of the neighbors that live next door. Multiple large fire trucks were lined along the private community street ready to prevent the fire from spreading to other homes and properties.
Within minutes of arriving to the scene of the incident, LAFD successfully extinguished the fire and prevented the fire from affecting adjacent structures.
“We appreciate the hard work of the LAFD and their fast overwhelming response to fight the fire because our homes are situated close to each other and there is lots of new construction in the area that the fire could potentially spread to,” Mia Anderson, a local resident, said.
There were no reports of injuries at the time of this reporting.
